Duties of the Controls Engineer include:
Ensuring top performance of all automated equipment through continuous improvement initiatives
Initiate and implement repairs and improvements on line coverage.
Planning and design of new projects.
Troubleshooting automation including Allen-Bradley PLCs, vision systems, and other automated equipment
Integrating and programming Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs and other automated equipment
Assisting with panel building and wiring
Robotics and Weld Cell experience a plus.
Manage all aspects of automation capital equipment upgrades
Reducing downtime and waste in automation processes
Required Skills:Required experience for the Controls Engineer position include: Must have experience in a high volume automotive manufacturing plant A Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree with equivalent experience Proven experience working as a Controls Engineer or working with automation in a manufacturing facility Experience implementing process improvements on automated manufacturing lines Experience with boilers and air compressors preferred
