Designs, develops, and supervises all aspects of control systems, equipment, and machinery. May be responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (Include the following, but other duties may be assigned.)
Provide programming installation and maintenance to new and existing production equipment.
Evaluate and make recommendations on equipment updates.
Troubleshoot programming failures and make adjustments as necessary.
Sets up new programs, PLC ladder logic, robot interfacing and documentation.
Implement improvements in the cycle time of robotic welding and assemblies.
Trains personnel in the use of robots and PLCs.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Associates with 3 or more years’ experience.
Strong understanding of industrial control systems.
Able to troubleshoot/program PLCs.
HMI programming experience.
Proficient in electrical codes.
Comfortable working with a computer.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Ability to plan, build and wire equipment to be custom built.
